Policemans Point is located on Tasmania's sunny East Coast, close to Ansons Bay and Bay of Fires. It is accessed off the C843, 5 kilometres to the East. To access from the South, you need to take the Ansons Bay Road (C843) for a distance of just over 34 kilometres on a reasonably rough gravel road. You will then see a sign with the turn-off to Policemans Point. If you are accessing Policemans Point from the Northern end, also take the C843 - Ansons Bay Road - for a distance of 3 kilometres to the west of Ansons Bay, and then for a further distance of 5 ks to where you will see signs to the camping area. You will find many campsites at the Policemans Point Campground set amongst the trees, and many with beach access. There are excellent new toilets, but no other facilities - you must bring your own water and firewood, and remove all rubbish. The maximum stay is 4 weeks. Dogs are OK at Policeman's Point, but not on the opposite side of the opening to the Bay, which is part of the Mt William National Park.
