Listing Details

The Gordon Foreshore Reserve Camping Area is a great campsite that is located at Gordon app. 65 kilometres south of Hobart. The Gordon Camping area on the Gordon Foreshore Reserve has flushing toilets and a water tank to obtain water. Please note that water must be boiled before drinking. There is a grassy area where you can setup your tent or campervan . There is an adjacent and easily accessible beach nearby for exploring and fishing. Gordon is a small town in the local government areas of Kingborough and Huon Valley in the Hobart and South-east regions of Tasmania. Gordon can be accessed by travelling 45 kilometres south-west of the town of Kingston and by driving some 65 kilometres south of Hobart. As at the 2016 census, Gordon had a population of under 200 permanent residents. This is a nice campground, but it can get muddy after rain so be prepared. Pets are OK if kept on a lead and under control at all times (no pets as per local signs). There is a dump point at this location - generators are NOT PERMITTED. Couldn’t sleep from the noise of a big disrespectful group of people. Very disappointed. It’s now 12:30 and there’s no one to ring.
