The Big Lagoon campsite Bay of Fires has no facilities and is on the southern side of Big Lagoon, just south of the Gardens. Campers in this area must be fully self-sufficient. Big Lagoon is close to the stunning Taylors Beach however camping is not permitted on Taylors Beach. To access Big Lagoon Campground turn left off Gardens Rd (C848) onto Old Gardens Rd either at Cosy Corner or halfway along Taylors Beach. There are numerous opportunities to pursue a wide range of activities in the Bay of Fires area, including camping, beach activities, boating, fishing, walking, bird watching, fishing, swimming, and snorkeling. Please be aware that Aboriginal middens (shell and bone deposits) are found in the sand dunes; they must not be disturbed as they are protected sites.
