The Ringarooma Bat Coastal Reserve camping area is located on the north east tip of Tasmania on Ringarooma Bay. You access this camping area via a singposted road off the Cape Portland Road accessed from Gladstone. This particualr campiste is located at the northern end of Boobyalla Beach.

Travel just over 21 kilometres along the C844 Cape Portland Road north of Gladstone, before heading east for 4.5 kilometres where you will find the camping area. There are many tracks that lead off to the camping area Ringarooma Bay. A feature of this camping area are fabulous ocean views. This camping area is suitable for camper trailers, caravans and smaller campervans. You need to carry your own water and firewood.

Ringarooma Bay is located in northeast Tasmania. Ringarooma Bay opens into the Tasman Sea, part of the South Pacific Ocean. There are 3 beaches close to the Ringarooma Bay camping area, being:

  • Boobyalla Beach
  • Waterhouse Beach
  • Maurouard Beach

The nearest road to Ringarooma Bay is unsealed; yhe nearest sealed road to Ringarooma Bay is the Gladstone Road which is just over 21 kilometres away.

Some native fish are protected and may not be caught.
