Rocky Cape area. Peggs Beach Conservation Area Tasmania Australia
Please note this camping location is very popular over Christmas
New Year period.
Peggs Beach offers excellent secluded camping areas with basic
facilities. The area has excellent safe swimming beaches.
Access Black River camping ground via the Highway C225, heading
down through Forest, and on towards South Forest. There is
a sign pointing to a picnic area on your left just past the
point where the road returns to a single level.
Travel down a
narrow road for app. 6km where you will find a causeway across
the river; but be very careful if there has been
a lot of rain as the river may have risen making it difficult
to cross. There are picnic shelters and
room for your tent on both side of the river.
