Branxholm is a quiet timber producing town located app. 90 kilometres north-east of Launceston. Driving time to the Branxholm campground from launceston via Scottsdale is approximately one hour and 25 minutes.

The Branxholm camping area is accessed on the B52 Road; app. 25 kilometres east of Scottsdale and 8 kilometres west of the township of Derby.

This campground at Branxholm has sites suitable for a caravan and tents and has showers and toilets in the amenities block. There is a barbecue area and tennis court available for use by guests. 

The Branxholm Camping area provides easy access to the Briseis Walking Track, and is located alongside the Ringarooma River.
