For fans of the Myrtle Park campground, the good news the park is reopening this month on October 22. Overnight camping fees have been set at $20 per night per site, up to a maximum of 10 people – the same price as last year. The timing is great with Myrtle Park set to reopen the park to the public in time for the upcoming summer holiday season. There are new operators who will be onsite 24/7. This year, 30 campsites will be available to the public which is up from 20 last year. The hall will be available for bookings, while the day-use areas such as the tennis courts and the kiosk will also reopen. Bookings for campsites opened to the public on September 27 through the Launceston Visitor Information Centre and online using the link below, with many dates already fully booked including over Christmas and New Year. We fully expect the campground to be booked out for large periods of time this summer so encourage anyone who wants to stay at Myrtle Park over summer to get in as early as possible. The park will close on April 30, 2022, for winter, and is expected to reopen in August 2022.
