Pit toilet, no water or firewood, no rubbish collection. (accessible to caravans, campervans, and motorhomes). Maximum stay 4 weeks. TAKE CARE WHEN SWIMMING. There are sandy camping sites accessible to smaller vehicles all along this very popular surf-fishing beach, and a picnic area at the northern end near a small lagoon for use by campers or day visitors. Take particular care if swimming as the beach drops away steeply. Access is signposted off Gardens Rd (C848), 4 km from the Binalong Bay Rd intersection. Other activities include boating activities, beach walks, diving, beach fishing, wildlife, bushwalking, snorkelling, bird watching, and fossicking in rock pools. The town of Binalong Bay is located at the southern end of the Bay of Fires, and the closest location for food supplies is St Helens. You need to be fairly self-contained to camp in this area and remember Bay of Fires is extremely popular with locals and visitors during Christmas and Easter, school holidays and long weekends.
