The Little Beach Conservation Area free campground is east of the township of St. Mary's on the A3 Highway. You will find access to this free camping site off the A3 highway to the North and to the South of the junction with the A4 highway. Little Beach State Reserve covers an area of app. 950 hectares. This coastal location is ideal for fishing and swimming (with care). Little Beach is located app. 6 kilometres south of Ironhouse Point and is popular for surfing. The beach lies in a small valley at the mouth of Little Beach Creek - the beach is app. 200 m long and is bordered by granite rocks. Waves average over around 1 metre, there are occasionally good surf breaks over the rocks at each end of the beach. See also: Camping Dianas Basin. The free campsite Little Beach Conservation Area has grassed camping sites next to the river. From the camping area, is an easy walk to the beach. This is a very basic camping area suitable for tent-based camping, you will need to be entirely self-sufficient - carry your own food, water, and firewood.
