Camping near Launceston Northern Tasmania in Lilydale at Black Cottage Farm. Black Cottage Farm is located on 13.5 acres of rich farmland in Northern Tasmania that is used to grow hay. This is a private campground hosted on a working farm. Camping Black Cottage Farm offers a powered site near the main residence  and many unpowered sites in the paddock which requires guests to be fully self-contained - i.e., caravans and motorhomes only. Tent camping is not permitted, all campers must be fully self-contained. Lilydale is predominantly dairy and cattle country with several vineyards nearby including Jansz, Clover Hill and Pipers Brook to name a few. The Black Cottage Farm camping area is centrally located near the town of Lilydale and other key attractions of the region, and not far from the popular coastal town of Bridport. Experiences range from hiking at Mount Arthur to visiting Lilydale Falls -the mountain bike range at Derby is just an hour’s drive away. The city of Launceston is only a short 25 drive. Visitors may be lucky enough to spot an edge-tail eagle that call Mount Arthur their home, this area is known for its abundance of wildlife! Prices are from $24 per night for an unpowered site, up to $36 for a powered site that can accommodate 5 persons. Campfires are permitted (subject to local fire restrictions).
