The Arthurs Lake campground has excellent amenities which are provided by Hydro Tasmania, as part of their contribution to support local communities. in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. The Bothwell Tourism Association operates this campsite. For bookings, call the Bothwell Tourism Association, by calling (03) 6259 4049, 0439 503 211, or 0439 202 436. Fees are payable as a self-registration system upon entering the campground. There is a ranger located at this campground to ensure fees are collected. Campers, campervans, and caravans are all welcome at this site and there is enough room to provide good privacy. There is a boat ramp nearby; the Arthurs River campsite is located immediately next to Arthurs Lake which is an operational hydro-power and irrigation storage meaning that water levels can change without notice. There are septic toilets provided at Arthurs Lake campground which are generally clean, and they have disabled access. There are hot showers, which cost a small fee. Fires are permitted in the firepots provided unless there is a fire ban. This is a great campsite, that is highly recommended if you enjoy bush camping and fishing. The Arthurs Lake campground is closed during winter due to cold conditions, it is common to receive high snowfalls and continual rain in this area during Winter. The campsite closes the first week in May and re-opens on the last Saturday in July each year.
