Camping Dee Lagoon is popular with fishermen who visit this area to fish for elusive wild brown and rainbow trout. To access Dee Lagoon from the Lyell Highway (A10), take the Osterley turn off at Bradys Lake app. 140 kilometres north-west of Hobart Alternatively, if heading to Dee Lagoon from the south take the A10 north of Ouse and turn off on the C176 through Strickland then the C173 past Dee Lagoon. From the North of Tasmania, turn off the A10 onto the C173 at Bronte Lagoon. Informal lakeshore camping is permitted at Dee Lagoon, with a few options to choose from. Please note there are no facilities provided; campers must be fully self-sufficient and carry their own water, firewood, and provisions. It is also recommended that when camping at Dee Lagoon you carry a chemical or portable toilet. Both fly fishing and artificial lures are allowed in Dee Lagoon, with the fishing season running from the Saturday nearest to the 1st of October to the Sunday nearest the 31st of May each year. Dee Lagoon Fishing There is a single-lane boat ramp at Dee Lagoon, and a 4WD vehicle is recommended. Dee Lagoon is an excellent lake for fishing from a kayak or canoe.
