The Valley Campground is located south of Hobart in the Huon Valley at Crabtree and offers a peaceful, private camping escape within a short distance of Tasmania’s capital city. Settle into a grassy site framed by native shrubs, fall asleep to the gentle sound of the river, and immerse yourself in a landscape alive with Tasmanian wildlife. The Valley Campground is formerly known as Sally’s Paddock.

The Valley Campground at Crabtree is perfect for self-contained campers, touring cyclists, and families with caravans, campervans, rooftop tents or tents. The Valley Campground at Crabtree is an ideal base for exploring the stunning Huon Valley and surrounds.

The cost to camp  is $20 per person per night, powered sites cost an extra $10 per van per night. Children 8 yrs and under are free of charge. (as at 1/1/26)

Firewood is available for $10 for 12 pieces and pets under control are very welcome.
