River’s Edge Wilderness Campground is located at Lonnavale in Southern Tasmania, and some 61 kilometres or 1-hour drive from Hobart. The Rivers Edge Wilderness Camping area is a very popular camping and leisure site where you can get away from your busy life, and breathe fresh Tasmanian air for a few days. Private sites cater for anything from a single tent up to multiple tents, RVs or vans, and are spread out over 1-kilometre of river frontage. River’s Edge is close to many natural and cultural attractions in Tassie’s Huon Valley and the southernmost parts of Tasmania, from mountain climbing and whitewater rafting to bushwalking, mountain biking, and wandering quietly through art galleries and antique shops. River’s Edge is a great campground for children, offering a number of activities. Recline in your camp chair under the shade of a tree and read a book, or join your family and friends for a swim in the beautiful river running past campsites.
