Bookings can't be made in advance for the Springlawn Campground, Narawntapu National Park. Pets are not permitted. Signposted access to the Springlawn Camping Area is via park road, app. 1 kilometre from the Park entrance, and 100 metres past the ranger station. There are 14 powered sites, which are suitable for larger motorhomes, campervans, caravans and campers. Water is available, but must be boiled before drinking. There are also token operated hot showers available from the office at the park. Situated on the central-north coast of Tasmania, the eastern entrance to the Narawntapu National Park is less than 1 hours drive north-west of Launceston. To get to Badgers Beach from Launceston, take the West Tamar Highway (A7) towards Beauty Point. At Beaconsfield take the C720 then turn left and follow the unsealed Badger Head Road (C721). There are septic toilets at Springlawn, a shower block (fees apply) with tokens available for purchase from Visitor Centre and powered sites and electric barbecues. The Narawntapu National Park is on the coast to the west of the harbour of Port Dalrymple, between Port Sorell and Greens Beach. Inland from the coast is an unspoiled tract of country offering excellent bushwalks. Narawntapu National Park is easily reached from Devonport and is one of the best places to see rare Forester kangaroos, Wombats, pademelons and Bennett's wallabies and even the Tasmanian devil are also commonly seen at the Narawntapu National Park Camping Tasmania. Bushwalks in Narawntapu vary from long coastal hikes to short walks to lagoons and bird hides. Springlawn Beach has 36 sites, with 16 suitable for larger rigs, caravans and campervans. There is a portable toilet waste collection point and a boat ramp. Fishing is generally very good in the estuary. From Nov–Apr part of Springlawn Beach is reserved for waterskiing. Bookings for camping in the Park are only taken for large school groups. Horse riders must provide the parks staff with at least 48hrs notice prior to bringing horses into the National Park. Campgrounds are located at Bakers Point, Horse Yards and Koybaa. The main facilities at Narawntapu National Park are located at Springlawn; there are a small number of powered sites suitable for caravans, campervans and camper trailers. Some campsites are accessible for wheelchairs, and wheelchair accessible amenities are accessed near the entrance to Springlawn at the back of the amenities block. Springlawn has a shower block, and 4 minute shower tokens are available to purchase from the Visitor Centre for a small fee. To access. drive past the ranger station, turn right to go to Bakers Point. The camping sites are clearings set in the coastal vegetation.

We strongly recommend you call in advance before trying to camp at Springlawn during the period mid-December until after Easter as all campgrounds are extremely popular and generally full during this period.
