The Southern side offers protection in coastal scrub. This camping area is suitable for small campervans, camper trailers and caravans. To access from the Southern end, take the Ansons Bay Road (C843) for a distance of just over 34 kilometres. You will then see a sign with the turn off to Policemans Point displayed. If you are accessing Policemans Point from the Northern end, you also take the C843 - Ansons Bay Road - for a distance of 3 kilometres to the west of Ansons Bay, and then for a further distance of 5 kms to where you will see signs to this excellent camping area.

The Bay of Fires on the far north east coast of Tasmania extends from Binalong Bay in the south to Eddystone Point in the north. The southern section of the Bay of Fires is in the Conservation Area, situated along a 13 km stretch of coast line between Binalong Bay and The Gardens, and is arguably Tasmania's most popular camping location. The middle section of the Bay of Fires lies close to the small town of Ansons Bay, which is a popular seaside holiday destination.
