Moulting Lagoon is located app. halfway along Tasmania’s east coast. There are no facilities at these sites. Some basic bush
camping is available at Buckley’s Rocks, off River& Rocks Road. There are no formal walking tracks in the
reserve.
Moulting Lagoon is an internationally recognised wetland at the northern end of Great Oyster Bay on Tasmania's East Coast. It is an important breeding ground for many waterfowl and wetland birds. It is also a destination for migratory birds. Bird watchers frequent this area, however be aware that due to the sheer size of the Moulting Bay Game Reserve many species may be not be seen.
