Upper Castra is a small settlement located outside of the North West Tasmania town of Ulverstone in Tasmania. To access this campsite, follow the Wilmot to Upper Castra Road for approximately 4 kilometres and cross a bridge, where you will find a lovely shaded picnic area located beside the Wilmot River. This is a relatively small camping area not suitable for big rigs and located next to a stony creek with the possibility of catching a trout for dinner. Wood not supplied. Parking area, no powered sites, and no toilets. Picnic table, fireplace, rubbish bins. You must carry your own drinking water and all food. Fuel stove recommended.
