Moulting Bay is a popular campsite for fishing as it is located immediately next to Georges Bay St Helens. This fairly large campground offers good shade and is relatively flat and sheltered. It is suitable for big rigs through to tent camping. If you have a boat, there are boat launching facilities nearby. If you don’t, but still wish to have a fish, you can simply walk to the shore and cast your rod. The only facilities here are a single pit toilet. You will need to carry your own firewood and fresh water. To access Moulting Bay campground, turn right off Binalong Bay Rd app. 7 km north of St Helens, where you will see a small signpost. The camping area is accessed by driving down a fairly good gravel track to the right, with a campground located app. 1 km from the turn-off. Fresh food and all other essential supplies can be obtained from Nearby St Helens. Moulting Bay is located in the app. 1600 hectare Humbug Point Reserve and is a popular location for birdwatching and wildlife. Moulting Bay campsite is on the northern side of Georges Bay and encompasses picturesque coastal woodland and sparkling ocean beaches which are featured in the Bay of Fires camping areas. There are several opportunities from this campground for bushwalking, swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. There are only very basic facilities at Moulting Bay campground, so campers will need to be self-sufficient.
