The Esperance camping area is located almost 8 kilometres along Esperance River Road. This road is signposted from the A6 highway, app. 4 kilometres south of the Dover Hotel. Tent-based camping is allowed on the north side of the Esperance River. You must carry your gear from the car park to the grassed camping area. This camping area does contain facilities. It is possible to camp in this area with your campervan, caravan, or camper trailer in a nearby grassed clearing. Note, water from the nearby river should be boiled before drinking. Be prepared when camping in this area. In all seasons there can be snow, high rainfall, extremes of temperature, strong winds, and sudden weather changes. You must be self-sufficient to camp at Esperance campground Tasmania. There are 10 camping spots at this location - fires are allowed inbuilt fireplaces, however, you must check local fire bans and obey rules. These forest campsites are located beside the Esperance River and have fireplaces, soft mossy ground, and a creek. Walk to Duckhole Lake or Adamsons Falls nearby. You must carry your gear to the campsites; there are toilets close by. Although the river is clean, it is recommended that water is boiled or treated before drinking (boil for at least 10 minutes)
