Branxholm is a quiet timber-producing town located app. 90 kilometres northeast of Launceston. Driving time to the Branxholm campground from Launceston via Scottsdale is approximately one hour and 25 minutes. The Branxholm camping area is accessed on the B52 Road; app. 25 kilometres east of Scottsdale and 8 kilometres west of the township of Derby. This campground at Branxholm has sites suitable for a caravan and tents and has showers and toilets in the amenities block. There is a barbecue area and tennis court available for use by guests. The Branxholm Camping area provides easy access to the Briseis Walking Track and is located alongside the Ringarooma River, where you may see a platypus at dawn or dusk. Branxholm Centennial Park camping ground has unpowered sites only, with toilet, shower and laundry facilities available. Situated in the middle of town, and on the banks of the Ringarooma River, this park also offers a tennis court, playground and swimming pool (fees apply) and provides easy access to the Briseis Walking Track. Branxholm Centennial Park - Conditions of Stay. The campground Branxholm is located just over 9 kilometres from the Blue Derby Mountain Bike Park and makes it a popular, and affordable camping site when mountain bike riding Blue Derby. Please note that there is no charge to camp - generators, chainsaws and power tools are not permitted. The maximum stay is strictly 14 days and pets are allowed but must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. Just a 5-minute drive from the Blue Derby MTB Trails at Derby. Branxholm has a number of walks within close proximity including the Great Briseis Water Racewalk. Facilities include free electric barbecue, showers (AUD$2 per use), toilets, laundry, and unpowered sites.
