There are sandy camping sites accessible to smaller vehicles all along this very popular surf-fishing beach, and a picnic area at the northern end near a small lagoon for use by campers or day visitors. Take particular care if swimming as the beach drops away steeply. Access is signposted off Gardens Rd (C848), 4 km from the Binalong Bay Rd intersection.

Other activities include: Beach, Diving, Beach Fishing, Wildlife, Bushwalking, Snorkelling, Bird Watching and fossicking in rock pools.

The town of Binalong Bay is located at the southern end of Bay of Fires, and the closet location for food. You need to be fairly self-contained to camp in this area and remember Bay of Fires is extremely popular with locals and visitors suring Christmas and Easter, school holidays and long weekends.
