The campsite North East River camping area Flinders Island is
located app. 15 kilometres east of Killiecrankie. There are several
tracks that lead off the North East Road to a series of
camping spots next to the river.

Flinders Island can be accessed by air
from Launceston or Essendon across Bass strait with Airlines
of Tasmania. Airlines
of Tasmania offer regular, daily services from both Launceston Airport and Essendon Airport.
