Mt Field National Park Camping guide

Camping Mt Field, offering both unpowered and powered sites, together with an amenities block, and operated by a private operator on-site at the Mt Field Campground. The operators of the campground Mt Field National Park can be contacted by telephone by calling +61 3 6288 1149. Exact fees, availability and amenities will be provided by the private operator. This is a great campsite, offering flat, well-grassed and shady spots suitable for tent camping and big rigs. Strictly NO DOGS or PETS. Government Huts are available in a different location near Lake Dobson, and must be booked via the National Parks & Wildlife Tasmania website. For the Government Huts, keys can be collected from, and must be returned to, the Mt Field Visitor Centre during business hours. A key deposit is required, and is payable at the time that keys are collected. The deposit is fully refundable upon return of the key. At Mt Field there are unpowered and powered sites, an amenities block with hot showers, clothes washing machine and drier (coin operated), BBQ shelters and hot water. There are also 5 cabins located near Lake Dobson containing 6 bunks per cabin and with vinyl covered mattresses, cold water, wood heater and firewood. There is no electricity or gas, a communal toilet block and no showers. Fuel stoves must be carried - no fires are allowed outside cabins.
