Listing Details

Jeanneret Beach has a small camping area and also a day-use area featuring grassed, secluded and well-sheltered campsites at adjoining Round Hill. Access to the Jeanneret Beach camping area, Bay of Fires Tasmania, is via a signpost off The Gardens Road, 1.2 kilometres from Binalong Bay Road. Pit toilet only, no water or firewood, no rubbish collection. (accessible to caravans, campervans, camper-trailers, and motorhomes). Maximum stay 4 weeks, and please note this campground is quite small and gets extremely packed over the Summer Holidays so avoid during this time. Be aware, that a rip runs out against the southern rocks during higher waves, so take extreme care in the water. This is a popular fishing location. This campsite is backed by a low grassy foredune with a central car park; the camping area is behind the northern end of the beach and the Gardens Road is located 300 m to the west. This beach is not patrolled. NO DOGS ALLOWED. This cove has secluded and nicely sheltered camping sites at its northern end, amongst the trees at Round Hill Point. These sites are accessible to larger campervans, caravans and motorhomes. Great swimming and snorkelling; walk along the Binalong Bay Coastal Walk. Turn off Gardens Rd (C848), 3.2 km from the Binalong Bay turn-off.

Other activities include: Beach, Diving, Fishing, Wildlife, Bushwalking, Snorkelling, Bird Watching

The Bay of Fires on the far northeast coast of Tasmania extends from Binalong Bay in the south to Eddystone Point in the north. The southern section of the Bay of Fires is in the Conservation Area, situated along a 13 km stretch of coastline between Binalong Bay and The Gardens, and is arguably Tasmania's most popular camping location. The middle section of the Bay of Fires lies close to the small town of Ansons Bay, which is a popular seaside holiday destination.
