Green Point Campground campsites marrawah tasmania

Green Point Beach Marrawah Tasmania, which has been voted one of the three best surfing beaches in Australia, is located app. 2km from Marrawah and has a small free camping area. There are lots of Aboriginal rock carvings, especially around Green Point, Preminghana and West Point near Marrawah Tasmania. There is limited accommodation, although the isolation is what makes Marrawah special. There is a large surfing and windsurfing competition held in the area each year, as the surf is world class. The Circular Head region of Tasmania on the far North West Coast of Tasmania is often overlooked area on the tourist map for many mainland visitors, as they are usually directed through travel agents to the 'popular' tourist routes such as Cradle Mountain, Port Arthur, Freycinet National Park, Hobart, Launceston, the Gordon River, etc. This area of Tasmania features some of the cleanest air in the world, and some of Tasmania's most spectacular scenery. Bring own firewood, food and fresh water - there are water taps, however it is recommended that you boil water.  Suitable for larger rigs, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. No Fees.
