Granite Point Conservation Area is located in Bridport, in North East Tasmania. Bridport is located on Anderson Bay, and is a small fishing town that is very popular with visitors during warmer summer months. The camping area Bridport at Granite Point is a large area located right on the beach. Access to the Bridport Campground is via Bentley St, and is signposted from the Main St.

The nature of the park makes this area difficult for larger motorhomes.

Bridport is located app. 60 kilometres east of Georgetown, and 21 kilometres from Scottsdale. Bridport is app. 85 kilometres nort-east of Launceston.

Campsites at Bridport are located amongst trees in a natural setting.

Bridport is a small town on the north-east coast of Tasmania, Australia. It is part of the Dorset Council and located on Anderson Bay, Bridport is a holiday location with the population increasing markedly in summer. It has beaches,swimming, sailing and other water sports.

Town facilities include supermarkets, hotel, chemist, baker, butcher, clothing store, golf courses, lawn bowls, sailing club, doctor's surgery, visitor's information centre, caravan park and several levels of accommodation from backpackers, bed and breakfast, to holiday resort.

In 2004 a links golf course, Barnbougle Dunes, was established on sand dunes 3km north-east of Bridport. This was soon ranked in the top 50 courses in the world and rising.
