Most of the camping area at Bay of Fires, on the magnificent East Coast of Tasmania is open, however there are a few poles. This camping area has terrific ocean views from inside most motorhomes or caravans. The toilets are the old-fashioned type and the log cabin styling matches the bush feel of this area.

Bay of Fires is a conservation area on the north-east cost of Tasmania, situated between Policemans Point and Binalong Bay. In recent years, it has quickly become one of Tasmania's most popular tourist destinations having being dubbed the world's best emerging destination for 2009.

The campsites at Bay Of Fires are pretty much as good as you will find, made all the mor remarkable by virtue of the fact of this unbelievable location. You can stay for up to four weeks for free; no passes required Please note that during the busier and hotter Summer months, this is a very popular location and the chance of getting this campsite to yourself remote. However, if you are prepared to forego the sea views there are plenty of private spots.

The best way in is from St Helens along Binnalong Bay Road then into Garden Road. No rubbish bins or water. There is a general store at Binnalong Bay. You can get water in the Sports Complex in St Helens.
